Bohemian FC has unveiled its 2026 third shirt, created in collaboration with Bristol collective Massive Attack, with a portion of the profits directed towards medical aid initiatives in Cuba.
The jersey draws from the visual language of historic Cuban football kits while acknowledging the longstanding cultural and political ties between Cuba and Ireland. Developed by Massive Attack together with Bohemian FC’s design team, the shirt carries its message through colour, detailing and a reference to a shared history that extends well beyond football.
Thirty per cent of profits from every shirt sold will be divided between the Cuba Solidarity Campaign’s Cuba Vive medical appeal and mediCuba-Europe, supporting healthcare and medical assistance projects in Cuba.
The collaboration also extends into the campaign surrounding the release. The launch film is soundtracked by Massive Attack’s “Teardrop” and brings the tactile character of the jersey into dialogue with the work of Dublin artist Jim Fitzpatrick, whose 1968 portrait of Che Guevara became one of the most enduring images associated with the revolutionary figure.
Rather than treating the football shirt as a purely commercial object, the project places it within a wider cultural conversation; one where football, music, graphic art and solidarity meet through a piece designed to be worn, circulated and remembered.
