Outdoor cooking brand Gozney has teamed up with paint company Tonester for a limited-edition collection that explores the relationship between color, materiality, and fire. At the center of the collaboration is a striking new version of Gozney’s Dome XL (Gen 2) pizza oven, finished in Tonester’s distinctive Black Orange shade.
Developed as part of the Tonester x Gozney Design Series, the collection translates some of Tonester’s most recognizable paint colors into a range of outdoor cooking appliances. For the Dome XL, the chosen finish is a deep, smoky orange enriched with dark undertones, creating a color that feels both earthy and refined. Positioned somewhere between ember, clay, and charred wood, the hue reflects the elemental qualities that define the cooking experience itself.

The collaboration emerged from a shared interest in how design can evoke atmosphere and emotion. Rather than treating color as a decorative afterthought, both brands approached it as an essential part of the object’s identity. The selected tones were evaluated in relation to firelight, shadow, ash, and natural outdoor conditions, ensuring that each oven would take on a different character throughout the day.
Alongside the Dome XL, the collection introduces three additional models, each paired with a signature Tonester shade. The Arc Lite appears in a dramatic black-violet finish, the portable Tread adopts a muted stone-brown palette, while the Arc XL arrives in a rich navy blue. Together, the four designs create a carefully curated family of products inspired by the colors and textures of outdoor living.
For both founders, the collaboration represents a natural crossover between their creative disciplines. Just as Tonester uses color to shape mood and perception, Gozney approaches form, material, and finish as tools for creating memorable experiences around food and fire.
The result is more than a simple color update. By introducing carefully considered finishes to some of its most popular products, Gozney transforms functional cooking equipment into statement pieces designed to become focal points within outdoor spaces. The collection demonstrates how thoughtful color selection can completely alter the personality of an object while reinforcing its connection to the environment in which it is used.
