Recently, the London football club Chelsea, presented in an original photo session its third kit, which is a tribute to the punk movement in England.

The Blues divided opinion with their fire-inspired home shirt but impressed fans with the ‘guava ice’ away shirt, and Chelsea have now gone bold with their alternate strip.

In an official statement, the club representatives say that: “Nike and Chelsea FC unveil a new 2024/25 third kit steeped in the fresh creativity and attitude that characterises one of the greatest youth subcultures.

Standing out in a black jersey and shorts trimmed in dayglo yellow and pink, harking back to shockwaves a radical clothing boutique at the club’s end of Chelsea generated in the 1970s, ripped-up clashing punk patterns are revived in the weave.

If the Blues patch typography is straight out of 1977, the vertical double Nike Swoosh nods to the current acceleration of the women’s game. The kit made its debut yesterday when Chelsea Women took on Arsenal in Washington DC.”
